The helicopter is easy to spot in the middle of the board. It has a back door that the ball can go inside and will then be ejected from under the boat. When completing a storyline mission, the rotors of the helicopter start to turn and red and blue indicator lights appear at the back door. If you knock the ball in before time is up, you get a bonus and a medal.
At the front of the helicopter are three dropdown targets with lights. Lighting all three resets the left and right chutes so they will kick the ball back in play instead of letting it fall. When striking the lights, it is safer to hit them from the right flipper, especially the center light when the ball tends to bounce down right between the flippers after being struck from the right flipper.
